National Cybersecurity Designation
TTC is the first two-year college in South Carolina to be designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CD) through the academic year 2024.
The CAE-CD program is sponsored by the National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security. The program's goal is to reduce vulnerability in the nation's information infrastructure by promoting cyber defense research and education, producing professionals with cyber defense expertise.
The college offers an associate degree and a certificate in cybersecurity through its Network Systems Management department. Both programs are being offered tuition-free this fall as part of a free tuition pilot project. Fall 2 classes begin Oct. 23. Learn more about TTC's cybersecurity program.
Patrice Davis |
Dr. Patrice Davis, Vice President for Student Services, has been selected to participate in the Riley Institute at Furman’s 14th class of Diversity Leaders Initiative (DLI).
DLI class members are identified through a rigorous process including nominations from existing Riley Fellows, application, and interview. Individuals are selected to join the class based on their capacity to impact their organizations and communities.
Over the course of five months, Patrice will take part in a highly interactive curriculum consisting of case studies, scenario analyses and other experiential learning tools that maximize interaction and discussion among classmates and facilitate productive relationships.
She will also work with other class members in one of five capstone project groups formed to respond to real issues in the community.
DLI graduates become Riley Fellows, members of a powerful, cross-sector, statewide leadership network that includes CEOs of corporations, mayors, city and county council members, legislators, school superintendents, pastors and rabbis, nonprofit heads, chamber of commerce directors, and community leaders.
